Known as "The Capital of Flanders", Lille is the head city of the Nord-Pas-de-Calais region in France. Located about 15 kilometers from the Belgian border, this city is ideal if you want to travel throughout Europe during your free time.

 

Lille has a temperate oceanic climate, with mild winters and cool summers with an average temperature of 3.6°C in winter and 18.6°C in summer. The city has a rich cultural heritage and a gourmet cuisine thanks to its museums such as the Palais des Beaux-Arts and its several restaurants with traditional cuisine. It also has a lot of theaters and cinemas, swimming pools and stadiums. You will also be able to take advantage of its cultural diversity thanks to the city's very complete and multimodal public transportation systems. Moreover, there is no shortage of shops in this large city, which has 4,161 stores. Thus, Lille will seduce students, families, and retirees. 

 

Regarding the real estate market, the average price per square meter is currently between 3500€ and 5000€ for apartments, depending on their location, with Lille center and Vieux Lille being the most sought-after districts in 2021. As for renting, the median rent is around 13€/m2 excluding charges and all surfaces combined.
